Our Science programme sets out to enhance and develop scientific skills allowing a greater understanding, appreciation and giving you the ability to make a greater contribution to the world around you.
Students studying the GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy course will achieve 2 GCSEs in Science, graded on a scale from 9-9 to 4-3 for Higher papers and 5-5 to 1-1 for Foundation papers. The course builds on the knowledge and skills you have learnt during year 7 & year 8, with an increased focus on real world application of science, and practical skills.
All students will be studying the AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy. This course spans the duration of year 9,10 and 11 and provides the required scientific knowledge and skills in order to pursue any scientific career or further study from A-levels, to Applied Science courses & vocational qualifications.

The BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Applied Human Biology is designed for post-16 learners wanting to continue their education through applied learning, and who aim to progress to HE and/or employment, possibly in the health sector.
