Accelerated Reader (Year 7) – this is used across the entire year group as a way of promoting reading for pleasure with all students.
Read Write Inc. Fresh Start (Key Stage 3) – this programme is targeted at students in Key Stage 3 who are not yet secondary-ready. The programme is a modular phonics programme which begins at basic speech sounds and progresses to enabling students to access texts of a standard they would be likely to encounter at Key Stage 3.
