In order to reduce the impact full school closures and self isolation have had, resulting in students remote learning the academy has:
used the National Tutoring programme to help close gaps.
undertaken a review of all Long Term Plans for academic year 2020-21 and 2021-22 to take account for what was taught remotely. Further reviews will be completed annually until 2027 so that provision for those year groups affected by the pandemic can take full account of any learning gaps.
Factored in the recommendations from the DfE report ‘Teaching a broad and balanced curriculum for education recovery.’
Tracked and encouraged engagement in remote learning for all lessons throughout the entire period of lockdown.
